Art and Design is an exciting and vibrant department within Creative Industries with a broad range of specialist workshops including Ceramics Studio, 3D Workshop, Sculpture Room, Printmaking Room, Fashion Studio, Life Drawing Room, Digital Photography Studio and Darkroom.
You will be required to prepare resource materials prior to teaching sessions for staff and learners including learning materials. Support lecturer and learners during timetabled lectures and lead demonstrations of techniques and processes to learners as required to support teaching and learning. Control, order, and maintain stock, studios, and specialist resource areas along with equipment in studios. Ensure Health and Safety procedures are carried out and Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
We are looking for someone who has a background in Art and Design, whether a practicing artist or from an education background, with some experience in the above activities. You would be working closely with other technicians in the department as well as the lecturers; therefore, the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
