This role will provide the platforms and services for a range of digital services in a hybrid hosting environment. Superior and adaptable DevOps skills are expected as a matter of course; to be successful you will also leverage a collaborative mindset to operate in a multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for deploying DevOps patterns, practices and process across a number of different products and teams.
* Consistent deployment of cloud infrastructure via infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
* Provide a variety of technology services consumed by the delivery teams, for example, CI / CD, cloud resource provisioning, code quality, test automation etc.
* Maintain and administer Azure DevOps and other tools.
* Showcase and demonstrate DevOps capabilities to stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds.
* Contributes and adheres to development and security standards and controls across the UK firm.
* Recommend improvements and refactoring to systems enhancing stability, security and maintainability.
* Work within a product centric environment to deliver capability, measured against desired outcomes.
* Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle including solution design, business analysis, testing, documentation and deployment.
* "Build it and own it" - this team will operate a true dev-ops lifecycle with responsibility for new features through development and into production, with risks managed within the CI pipeline.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
* Experience of working with development teams and COTS products to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
* Extensive experience of Azure DevOps and multicloud PaaS technologies (primarily Azure & AWS) or equivalent, with awareness of on-premise platforms and approaches.
* Experience with IaC toolsets such as BICEP, CloudFormation or Terraform (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of web technologies and application architecture patterns.
* Extensive troubleshooting skills in areas such as Windows & Linux administration, DNS and Firewalls.
* Has shown adaptability in their career by working in enterprise environments with multiple products and types of delivery approaches, holding various roles.
* Will have championed the benefits of the DevOps approach and actively worked to remove silos and impediments - experience of a DevOps transition highly advantageous.
* Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to articulate solutions to a senior as well as a detailed/technical audience.
