Permanent full time (37.5 hours per week)

As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know!
Typical day as our Support Worker
* Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
* Our customers have complex mental health needs and often require support with medication prompts and accessing their local communities.
* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy, and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
* Follow and report changes to risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and introducing them to the world of customer involvement and our amazing HAP programme.
* Cuppas, chats, and catch-ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You bring
* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
* Experience of caring for others; you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure, and have a resilient approach.
* Recognize every customer is different and you’re able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs.
* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage! This is preferred but not essential.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.

Job details
* Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasions.
* The role is permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week), working on a two-week rolling rota. Occasional weekends may be required. We are a 24/7 service and there is also a need for sleep-ins.
* Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning, and collaborate with colleagues.
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
