To work within the multidisciplinary Oral & Maxillofacial team, holding professional and managerial responsibility for the dental nursing service and hold responsibility for both clinical and staff governance.
Ensuring the highest standard of personalised care is delivered to patients and their families in partnership with all members of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team, within a range of Oral & Maxillofacial specialist needs such as trauma, facial deformity and head & neck oncology.
The post holder has the overall responsibility for supervision of the assessment of care needs and the delivery and maintenance of optimal care outcomes.
Lead and act as a specialist resource for Oral & Maxillofacial dental nursing, whilst supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager.
The individual is expected to support and motivate staff to provide high standards of care by acting as a role model, whilst ensuring that all necessary training is completed and maintained.
