Job Description:
About The Role
DAS UK Group has an excellent opportunity for an ATE Technical Underwriter to join our Underwriting department on a Fixed-Term basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ATE Underwriting Manager, being a subject matter expert and monitoring products and their performance.
In this key role, you will identify areas where underwriting and claims practice could be improved to benefit the customer and deliver a plan, working with the ATE Underwriting Manager to implement improvements and project changes.
You will provide the business with valuable information around underwriting and claims performance, and you’ll oversee complex or high-risk underwriting and claims referrals, providing an escalation point for Trading underwriters and ATE Operations for key decisions and referrals outside of authority limits.
Additionally, you’ll use your knowledge and expertise to provide technical guidance during product development and product management, and you’ll take ownership of technical content for policy wordings. This will require working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure the product wordings are market-leading, provide the intended covers, and minimise the potential for premium and claims leakage.
About You
The successful candidate will have comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of ATE insurance.
In addition, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
* Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high-quality output.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Evident passion for delivery, area of expertise, and sharing best practice.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
Whilst this is a full-time role, we would consider applications for part-time working and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
As a team, we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. You will be agile in the way that you work and adaptable to change. In return for your commitment, we will offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package which will include:
* 25 days holiday with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
* Company pension scheme with the option to increase contributions
* Group Income Protection for all employees
* Group Legal Protection for all employees
* Health cash Plan
* A choice of either European Motor Assistance or Home Emergency Assistance
* Salary sacrifice benefits including Cycle scheme
* Access to our employee discounts hub offering exclusive discounts across thousands of retail partners, including discounted gym memberships at over 3,000 gyms across the UK
* The option to join our Sports and Social club which organises discounted events such as theatre visits and shopping trips
If you think you would be a good match for this role and can demonstrate some transferable experience, please apply, regardless of whether you meet all the criteria listed above.
