Job Opportunity: Learning Designer
We are seeking a skilled Learning Designer to join our team at CABI. As a Learning Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our eLearning courses, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and meet the needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with subject matter experts, UX designers, and Moodle administrators to review and update existing courses, incorporating UX changes, SME feedback, and CABI design guide updates.
* Plan and deliver specific updates to current courses within our 3-week or 6-week cycles, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
* Design and develop clear, concise, and engaging learning activities and assessments, aligning with measurable learning objectives and user needs.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Learning Designer or Digital Learning Content Creator, preferably in further education, higher education, international development, public sector, charities, or NGO sectors.
* Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and user experience best practices.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with subject matter experts and users to identify learning objectives and design effective activities.
* Proficiency in using Moodle, with experience in HTML and CSS a plus.
* Able to use Office 365 and Zoom or Teams Channels efficiently.
