Role Overview:
To maximise profitability in the business by protecting all company assets which includes personnel, buildings, stock, and costs while ensuring all core department values are upheld by all personnel within the team.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all Security Policies and Standard Operating Procedures remain current and best practise is enforced across the site, as part of our safety and security culture framework
2. Ensure sites and company assets remain physically secure and protected against unauthorised access
3. Lead from the front with an exceptional level of professionalism whilst representing the Profit and Asset Protection Department and JD Brand
4. Lead and develop the security supervisors, driving best practise and consistency
5. Oversee officer and supervisor rota making sure all areas remain covered
6. Proactively seek and provide new initiatives to identify and remove areas of risk, related to security and stock loss
7. Conduct site audits and develop action plans to manage stakeholders
8. Ensure access to sites remains controlled, monitored and purged correctly
9. Oversee gatehouse processes and communication, protecting vehicle integrity at all touchpoints
10. Ensure all security equipment and CCTV is operated and maintained in line with current policies/procedures
11. Make alterations to guarding rotas when appropriate and maintain the required staffing levels in consultation with the Site Manager
12. Act as first line support to incidents
13. Manage, review and investigate security related incidents, identifying trends and root causes
14. Manage ad-hoc activities supporting the Site Manager and deputising in their absence
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
15. Previous experience in Profit Protection/Risk/Security Management
16. Ability to forge and maintain strong relationships at all levels
17. Security Investigation experience & knowledge
18. Excellent written and oral communication skills is essential
19. Previous experience in Distribution/Transportation essential
20. Previous experience of People Management essential
21. Ability to work at other locations to support the business, when required
