We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Research Data Analytics (RDA) team. Recently formed, the RDA team works cross asset to provide data and analytics across all fundamental research groups. You will have either worked in asset management technology or gained exposure to technology through your own curiosity and interest. T Rowe Price is able to help you expand and develop your technology skillset and will provide training in both computer science and programming languages as well as learning from the highly experienced engineers that you will be working alongside.
Members of this group will partner with dedicated engineering teams to deliver high quality software products to investment staff. As part of the group you will:
1. Partner with engineering managers to help plan and prioritize the roadmap and ensure system and feature design align to the long-term strategic vision.
2. Work alongside engineers to develop prototype code that defines complex business logic and domain specific calculation methodologies.
3. Provide domain specific training to engineering teams so that they can better support investment staff.
4. Breakdown complex requirements from investment staff and provide advice to them on solutions.

Core Competencies and Responsibilities:

3. Planning and coordination - Must excel in planning and organization to achieve job objectives, setting priorities among activities; utilizes available resources, copes with changing conditions and unforeseen events, assumes responsibility for completion of one's own work and meets deadlines.
4. Work closely with agile technology teams to implement business requirements and automation.
5. Provide operational support and ensure data quality in our systems, whilst working to automate away support overheads through technology.
6. Develop and sustain relationships with Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, Quants and Investment Analysts on a global basis and support their ongoing data requirements.
7. High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
8. Must be a self-starter with ability to build working relationships and ability to work effectively in a global matrixed organization.
9. Flexible and comfortable with uncertainty in requirements etc. in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
10. Must be able to independently troubleshoot functional and/or quantitative problems.
Required Qualifications:
1. 4+ years of functional/demonstrated experience with Fixed Income products, derivatives, and analytics with an Asset Management firm.
2. 4+ years of business systems analysis or experience working with and analyzing data for Front Office functions.
3. Subject Matter Expertise in either FI Attribution, FI Risk, FI Quant, FI Portfolio Management (e.g. portfolio construction).
4. General knowledge/awareness of macro financial markets and more specifically, the buy-side/asset management industry.
