We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Head Teacher with responsibility for Pastoral Care, Behaviour, and Attitudes. The Role
As Assistant Head Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our pastoral vision, ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with our Deputy Head Teacher for Pastoral on behaviour management, attendance, and student welfare to maintain a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the support of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher,
* Develop the school’s pastoral systems, ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance, and student well-being.
* Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure the highest standards of student safety and welfare.
* Develop strategies to support students’ emotional well-being, resilience, and personal development.
* Support and coach pastoral and teaching staff in managing behaviour effectively.
* Monitor and analyse behaviour and attendance data to inform interventions and improvements.

* Holds QTS and has significant experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
