We have a number of Welsh medium Teaching Assistants vacancies within the north of Caerphilly and Merthyr Tydfill. These opportunities are for the full academic year and will be supporting children with additional learning needs who can present some challenging behaviour. The ages of the children vary from nursery to year 6.
Job responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education
Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities
Manage and support pupils with challenging behaviours
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents in both Welsh and English
The ideal candidate will:
Fluent in Welsh (both written and spoken)
Confident in managing challenging behaviours
Has experience working with students with behavioural challenges in an educational setting.
Can demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
