To manage and implement strength and conditioning programmes for all academy players between Under 9 and Under 18’s To ensure that the content of strength and conditioning programmes fulfil EPPP criteria. To provide sessions of strength and conditioning training to each academy age-group weekly. To ensure strength and conditioning programmes are progressive, measurable, and age specific. To ensure individual sessions are recorded and evaluated. To provide logical, structured feedback to coaching staff regarding individual physical progression in order to assist in the player assessment process. Be aware of the club’s Child Protection policy, Health and Safety policy and Emergency procedures and take responsibility for Health and Safety aspects during training sessions. To attend any meetings with fellow coaches, parents and children where appropriate. To attend sports science staff meetings as required. To assume responsibility for care of materials, equipment and facilities. To develop your own skills by attending CPD coach education courses and any in-service training that is organised by the club. Ensure that you are well briefed about any special needs of the participants involved i.e. medical condition/disabilities etc. Must be punctual at all times. Be aware of and follow the procedures for recording accidents. If unable to attend the scheduled training session, the strength and conditioning coach must inform the academy manager. To set high standards of professionalism and demonstrate a high standard of conduct, thus providing a good role model for young players.
