Human Resources Officer

Reporting to the Head of Operational HR, you will be responsible for delivering key HR services that support staff well-being, learning and development, and ensure best practices in employee recruitment, retention, and professional development.
Some key duties and responsibilities: will include (but not be limited to):
* Oversee the end-to-end recruitment cycle, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new staff, governors, contractors, and volunteers.
* Ensure the Single Central Registers are fully compliant and up-to-date.
* Advise on HR policies, including safeguarding, right to work, and UK employment laws.
* Support line managers with employment relations issues and advise on parental leave and other HR queries.
* Promote initiatives that enhance employee well-being and morale.
* Contribute to staff development and performance management, supporting the delivery of appraisal programs and professional development opportunities.
* Work on strategic HR projects aligned with long-term school goals, such as policy development and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Key skills and Experience:
* Experienced in a similar HR role, ideally with knowledge of HR systems and a strong understanding of UK employment laws.
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
* CIPD level 5 (preferred)
* Highly organised, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Passionate about HR with a creative, self-motivated approach and a positive 'can-do' attitude.
* Able to work well in a team and interact confidently with a wide range of people.
* Knowledgeable about safeguarding and safer recruitment practices (desirable).
* Experience within the education sector desirable (not essential)
This is a full time, 37.5hour week role based in Malvern.
