Higher Executive Officer - Liaision Office
Location: Must be commutable to one of the below Home Office locations, Newcastle, Durham
Role overview: The Higher Executive Officer will be the senior responsible officer for a unit within the Customer Services Group, motivating the team in uncertain and ever-changing work environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.
2. Demonstrate the civil service values and standards of behaviour as a role model to other colleagues.
3. Provide advice, guidance and support to customers and corporate stakeholders.
4. Responding and referring cases for safeguarding, police or security incidents.
5. Notify relevant parties of accommodation moves.
6. Additional duties as required depending on teamwork and emerging priorities.
7. Record keeping on excel and other IT systems.

Please note: This role can involve extensive travel, across the region and throughout the UK as required. The nature of the work and training will involve overnight stays, travel plus occasional evening and weekend work. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to travel, not only within your specified region but throughout the UK.
This is a physically demanding operational role that requires candidates to complete personal safety training at level 2. This is a mandatory requirement. Failure to successfully complete the training will preclude an individual from undertaking the role.
You will be required to undertake security clearance for these roles, and it is imperative that you hold a valid passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address and a proof of national insurance document.
Start dates will be confirmed once security checks are complete, which can take up to 8 weeks.
