Job Opportunity: Key Account Manager – Major & Small Domestic Appliances (South West) About the Role We are representing a leading organization in the home appliance sector, currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Key Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of independent and key accounts. With a focus on Major Appliances (Cooling, Laundry, Cooking, and Dish) and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), this role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, ensuring profitability, and fostering long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities Strategic Development: Develop and implement long-term business strategies to meet and exceed sales and profit objectives, ensuring sustained growth. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key accounts and independent clients across Southeast England through regular in-person engagements. New Market Exploration: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market reach and drive revenue growth. Account Oversight: Maximize sales opportunities by nurturing partnerships with existing clients while securing new prospects. Revenue Enablement: Plan and execute promotions, marketing initiatives, and training programs to support client success and revenue generation. Forecasting & Analytics: Provide accurate sales forecasts to optimize inventory management and support strategic planning efforts. Performance Reporting: Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations during sales meetings, highlighting account performance and growth opportunities. Pricing & Budget Management: Strategically manage pricing, promotional activities, and budgets to maximize ROI. Market Trends & Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging insights to identify and seize emerging opportunities. Brand Advocacy: Promote brand awareness by delivering training and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Operational Efficiency: Address aged debt issues and ensure smooth logistics and service delivery for customers. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, finance, and other internal teams to resolve credit and payment matters. Head Office Participation: Attend sales meetings at the company’s Leeds-based Head Office, contributing to broader strategic discussions. Additional Responsibilities: Support business goals by undertaking ad hoc tasks as required. Candidate Profile A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Residing in SouthWest England with the flexibility to travel to clients in the region three days per week. A minimum of 2 years of experience in account management or field sales, with a proven track record of managing independent accounts. Demonstrated success in meeting KPIs and achieving sales targets, ideally within the Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) sector. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
