Chef
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (includes weekends)
Welwyn Grange is a brand new care home opening soon, set within the heart of the community in Welwyn Garden City. We will be bringing a fresher approach to residential, nursing and support.
This is a superb opportunity for a talented, experienced and self-motivated Chef to assist the team to deliver efficient and enticing menus for our residents.
If you are fed up working split shifts, late nights and every weekend but still love working in the kitchen then this could be the role for you!
With previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, your duties will include preparing, cooking and presenting appetising, balanced and varied nutritious foods.
Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times and the environment is safe you will also supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants to be efficient within their roles, and deputise in the absence of the Head Chef.
You will support the Head Chef in producing menus that are accessible to all residents and reflect season changes, as well as offering a choice, therefore previous care home experience and knowledge of IDDSI would be an advantage.
If you are enthusiastic about food, and want to be part of a supportive and friendly team that make a positive contribution to our residents lives, then we would love to hear from you. Working with us will give you a rewarding, challenging, diverse and exciting career, where no day is the same, please click APPLY below.
We are committed to protecting and safeguarding vulnerable adults and successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
At Ardale we don’t just accept difference, we welcome it. No matter what your sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, gender identity, religion or any other characteristic, we welcome your application.
