Female Support Worke r (Internally known as an Enablement Assistant) Location: Bournemouth Hours Per Week: Full time and Part time Hourly Rate: £12.50 Driver required with their own vehicle About the role Jemma is a 25-year-old young lady, living in her family home, in Bournemouth, Dorset, Her diagnosis is of autism, severe learning disability, sensory processing disorder and OCD tendencies. She engages with daily living tasks with encouragement and making it fun plus requires support with budgeting to plan healthily meals choices for the week and supported to develop her cooking skills. Clear structure, routine, and full support with accessing a varied activity schedule is required to help her respond well. Her communication style is using objects of reference, certain key words and her iPad. The support ratio is 1:1 at all times along with helping her use public transport with her own bus pass. She really enjoys swimming, walking, and trampolining every week and requires Teams Members to share her interests, by being a confident swimmer and able to run. Some of her favourite past times is going out to coffee shops, as long as they are not too busy, along with going out for dinner to KFC or McDonalds on a weekend with her family. Her week also includes going to the Out And About group (3 x times a week), attending the working farm (2 x times a week) Monday to Friday and at the weekend she spends time with her family. She has a small job which is supported by her parents that she does once every other month, which enables her to earn some money.
