Job Title: Registered Mental Health CAMHS Nurse team leader
Location: Melksham Hospital
Pay Rates: Day £21.80 per hour, Sat/Nights £28.33 per hour, Sun/Bank Hols £34.87 per hour.
Contract length: On going full time.
Shift Patterns: Full time.

What you can add:
Clinical Responsibilities:
* Liaison and collaborative working with colleagues within the TEDS teams, but also with medical, nursing and dietetic colleagues in the general hospital in Swindon.
* Undertake a care co-ordinator role for children and young people open to the team.
* Providing effective assessment, planning and review of care needs using the CPA process.
* Establishing, maintaining and ending purposeful, therapeutic relationships with children and young people experiencing severe mental health difficulties.
* Using knowledge of psychological therapies, for example CBT, DBT and Solution Focused approaches.
* Providing time-limited intervention, identifying appropriate discharge goals and working positively with risk.
* Assessing risk in collaboration with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
* Identifying and agreeing Recovery Care Plans and risk management plans with individuals.
* To pro-actively provide health education and advice to promote a reduction in risk taking behaviour among young people.
* Communicating highly complex information to a range of people and professionals.
* Providing and receiving highly complex and sensitive information in relation to Safeguarding and Child Protection work.
* Using a systemic approach to working with individuals, their families and significant others.
* Working without direct supervision and being accountable for own actions.
* Skilled and constructive use of own supervision sessions.
Management Responsibility:
* Supporting the Clinical Team Manager through contributing to clinical leadership within the Team.
* Providing supervision to qualified and/or unqualified members of staff.
* To supervise the clinical and theoretical work of under and postgraduate trainees.
* Providing learning and shadowing opportunities for junior and unqualified staff members.
* Contributing to the promotion of staff well-being and morale in the Team.
* Participating in development initiatives within the Team and the Trust.
What you'll need:
Qualifications:
* RMN/OT/Social Worker.
* Current registration with relevant professional body.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Training in supervision and appraisal.
* Non-medical Prescriber.
Knowledge/ Experience:
* Experience in working with Children and young people with eating disorders.
* Experience as a Band 5, or equivalent, Mental Health professional.
* Understanding and experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of mental health needs.
* Experience of and commitment to working in a multi-agency setting.
* Relevant experience in a community setting.
* Experience of care coordination.
* Experience of working with families, carers and significant others.
* Experience of providing supervision.
* Ability to carry out assessments and psycho-social interventions.
* Experience of liaising and working alongside colleagues in paediatric wards and tier 4 inpatient units.
* Knowledge and experience of motivational interviewing and psychological therapies.
* Experience of contributing to the management of a clinic.
* Knowledge and experience of Child and Adult Protection work.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* All Registered Nurse roles will be required to provide evidence of:
* Statement of NMC Registration.
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
Experience
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a Mental Health Hospital environment within the last 3 years.
* PMVA and ILS training, completed within the last 12 months.
