About the Role Trinity Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected foundry based in Lye, Stourbridge, for an experienced NPI Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a company that prides itself on quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. As a NPI Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and developing product quality, implementing process controls, and driving continuous improvement across the foundry's operations. You will work closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure all products meet both internal and customer-specific standards. Key Responsibilities Generate, monitor, control, and report quality data to identify trends and support business improvement. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys and 8D to resolve quality issues. Communicate internal and external reject data to stakeholders and maintain tracking systems. Conduct reviews of scrap and customer returns and support in implementing corrective actions. Prepare and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, Quality Alerts, and audit records. Perform physical measurements using inspection equipment (e.g. verniers, height gauges). Audit internal processes to ensure compliance with business standards and procedures. Report quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and support Quality Technicians and other team members on quality systems and standards. Essential Requirements Proven experience working within a quality engineering role. Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards, including ISO 9001. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills using RCA tools. Clear and confident communicator with the ability to influence change at all business levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing quality-related data and reports. Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset. Comfortable working in a manufacturing/foundry environment and adhering to Health & Safety protocols. Support Functions You will also assist the Quality Manager in the following areas: Ensuring QMS compliance and supporting certification processes. Managing changes in materials, suppliers, and internal processes. Driving improvements to reduce variability in casting quality. Supporting internal and customer audits and assessments. Maintaining and improving standard operating procedures and quality training documents. Health, Safety & Environmental Committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Ensure the correct use of PPE and report unsafe practices to management. Adhere to and promote company Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
