The Accounts Payable Co-ordinator is an integral part of the Finance team supporting the UK & Ireland Accounts Payable functions, alongside two other team members. This will involve posting invoices, processing payment runs, inbox management and responding to queries from salespeople, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* General administration relating to the Accounts Payable function reporting to the Financial Controller
* Shared ownership of accounts payable communications, ensuring questions, approvals and tasks are prioritised, responded to and if necessary escalated to the correct people in a timely manner
* Responding to queries from salespeople, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
* Control over the matching, batching and coding of high volume purchase ledger invoices using document capture system
* Oversight and scrutiny of payment runs - ensuring documentation is prepared correctly to enable Financial Controller approval
* Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with queries
* Responsibility for aspects of the month end processes associated with payables, including an understanding of the ledger status
* Monitoring of recharge accounts, with regular reconciliation
* Balance sheet and statement reconciliations
* Ad hoc analysis, as required by the Financial Controller and the business
About You
* Experience in purchase ledger and process improvements
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
* High level of accuracy
* Excellent IT skills (including Excel Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
* Comfortable working with large amounts of data and ad-hoc Accounts Payable requests
* Able to work effectively in a team with other Accounts Payable members
* Great ability to prioritise and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
* Effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
* Happy and motivated working in a fun, friendly, growing team and company
