Brief Description
This is an exciting time to be part of the Southern Region Works Delivery Team, as we take on major infrastructure improvements in the years ahead.
Control Period 7 (CP7) brought about the opportunity to deliver capital works in new ways. Network Rail has taken the opportunity to build upon the lessons of other major programmes and portfolios to drive greater value and efficiency into project delivery and created the Southern Renewals Enterprise.
Works Delivery is one of the five partners in this Enterprise with a workbank of 1.3bn this Control Period, delivering schemes across Track, Signalling, Telecommunications, Electrification & Plant, Buildings and Civils. About the role (External)
Works Delivery Supervisor [Track]
Are you an experienced Track professional with a passion for delivering high-quality work and ensuring safety standards? We have exciting opportunities for Works Delivery Supervisors [Track] to join our team at Eastleigh.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and check work quality to ensure compliance with standards.
* Ensure all work is carried out safely, following method statements and procedures.
* Conduct inspections and prioritise work arising.
* Assist in developing work plans that enable safe and efficient project delivery.
* Prepare work and resource specifications, including Safe System of Work Plans.
* Support asset renewal proposals and resource allocation.
* Provide accurate updates to systems, databases, and records.
* Monitor staff performance, safety, and compliance.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Supervising work sites, ensuring safe and efficient work delivery.
Knowledge: Track inspection, maintenance, renewal, and asset condition assessment techniques.
Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and the ability to coach and influence others.
Competencies: Understanding of industry standards, procedures, and cost control.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) preferred, or relevant experience.
Driving: Willingness and ability to drive vehicles as required.
