Your Role
As an SEND Education Support Worker, you will be based in a specialist college setting, working under the guidance of Specialist Tutors. The college offers young adults (aged 19+) access to specialist life skills education while providing therapy and behavioural support through a multidisciplinary team. This dynamic environment offers excellent facilities and the opportunity to engage with local charities and employers, enhancing students' learning experience.
Duties
Your main responsibilities will include:
9. Creating an engaging and supportive learning environment in line with the college’s ethos.
10. Assisting in planning and implementing individual and group educational programs under the direction of the Lead Tutor or Centre Manager.
11. Supporting students in achieving their individual educational goals, contributing to the development of their overall learning plans.
12. Maintaining accurate records for specific students and actively participating in their daily learning routines.
13. Providing high standards of physical and emotional care, including personal care and healthcare tasks, as necessary.
14. Facilitating student mobility, including assisting with moving furniture and equipment as required.
