Teaching personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching assistant to help support the teaching staff to develop and provide quality learning for pupils with special education needs. A school in Hayes located in UB4 have 2 SEN provision rooms that require support day to day, one room is more catered towards academic development and has less severe SEN needs. whereas, the second room has more severe needs and is more catered to behaviour management and less academic focused.
the role would be working between both rooms throughout the day alternating with other team members and staff. There are more staff members located in teh more challenging room bertween 2-4 members of staff.

Main roles and responsibilities -
Help assist the lead teacher enable each pupil to access their curriculum.
Engage with playground activities.
Plan and organise teaching material.
Support and encourage the development of pupil’s education.
Look after pupils physical, emotional and social welfare.
Keep records and attend review meetings.
Communicate with parents and guardians.
1:1 and 2:1 support.
Key skills and requirements -
Have experience working with SEN pupils.
Friendly and compassionate.
Patient.
Sensitivity and understanding.
Knowledge of teaching and ability to plan activities.
Excellent verbal communication.
Confident working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
