About the Role As a Design Technology (Construction) Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students. Key Responsibilities of Teacher of Design Technology (Construction): - Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design Technology with a focus on construction. - Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16). - Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students. - Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. - Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in construction and design technology. - Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement. - Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in construction and design technology. Requirements of Teacher of Design Technology (Construction): - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Experience teaching Design Technology, with a focus on construction, at the secondary school level. - Strong knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in construction and design technology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to inspire and motivate students. - Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
