Specifically, youll work closely with school staff to identify the needs of students, contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere and promote emotional wellbeing across the school community. Additionally, you will manage risk and safeguarding issues, working within the organisations policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of care. Additionally, you will: - Liaise with staff, parents, and other agencies to support service delivery - Record data electronically and maintain case notes - Deliver group work and educational sessions as required About You To be considered as a Special Schools Counsellor, you will need: - A professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (minimum Level 4 or Level 7 in Scotland) - Accreditation (or working toward accreditation, to be achieved within one year of the start date) with BACP, IACP, PTUK, or NCPS - Registered membership with BACP, IACP, UKCP, HCPC, or NCPS - A minimum of 100 hours of post-qualification, clinically supervised practice with children and young people, or with adults alongside completion of a Level 5 CPCAB Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People - An understanding of child development and the issues impacting young people - To be able and willing to travel as required The closing date for this role is 9th of December 2024.
