Interior design interns are entry-level employees who work under the supervision of professional interior designers. They may be tasked with a variety of different duties, including researching new trends in interior design, creating floor plans and 3D models, or assisting with client meetings. Interior design interns will receive on-the-job training from Ash Chawla, Director of Duke of Design. This training will help the intern learn the specific software and procedures used by the company. They will also learn about the company’s design style and how to interact with clients. Interior design interns typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which may include: - Creating visual presentations using digital or physical media to demonstrate design concepts & moodboards / 3D Visuals. - Reviewing sketches and drawings by architects or designers for feasibility and functionality - Creating floor plans, room layouts, and other designs using CAD softwares - Analyzing client needs and preferences to determine project goals, objectives, and design solutions - Identifying the best materials for surfaces and furnishings based on price and availability - 3D Modelling & Rendering Design Concepts - Participating in design meetings with clients to discuss concepts and gather information about their preferences and needs - Working drawings for construction Requirements: 1) Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture or a related field. 2) Software: AutoCAD, Sketchup, or V-Ray, Photoshop, Lumion 3) Design Portfolio showcasing a variety of skills and aesthetic ability: 2D & 3D Duke of Design are also registered with the Erasmus scheme and students will be able to apply for exchange student visa under the scheme. https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/
