Your role and responsibilities A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join Southfields Veterinary Specialists as our Senior Night Nurse. The Lead Patient Co-ordinator will be responsible for the efficient output of cases across all departments of the practice. Working closely with the clinicians, nursing team and leadership team you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of the day, including timely management of emergencies and prevention of delays. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Nursing Services (HONS), Senior Nursing Team and Leads across the Practice to ensure the effective delivery of outstanding patient care. You will work enthusiastically with the nursing team to help maintain a happy and effective working environment whilst ensuring practice and group policies are always adhered to. This role requires strong, inclusive, decisive leadership, clear communication and the ability to inspire and motivate the team in order to deliver the Linnaeus nursing strategy and achieve the practice's goals. The position will include providing performance reviews, training and coordination for all relevant associates working within your team. What kind of person you need to be - You will need to be a highly motivated self-starter able to demonstrate leadership qualities to co-ordinate, support and motivate our busy hospital by prioritising, problem-solving and delegating effectively - You will have experience of, and a passion for, mentoring and training colleagues and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills to assist in managing conflicting priorities - As a member of our senior nursing team, your desire to provide the best clinical service to our patients will allow you to demonstrate a proactive approach to developing and shaping a growing hospital. Specific experiences / qualifications / status / citizenship requirements - Right to Work in the UK - Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) registration with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience - Have an excellent command of written and spoken English - Leadership/training experience - Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work. Hours: This is a full-time position, working a 40hr week.
