Job Summary

Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
2. Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
3. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
4. Perform minor procedures such as injections.
5. Prescribe medications and order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, x-rays, ultrasounds).
6. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated high-quality care.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using systems like PS Suites.
8. Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment, and preventive care.
9. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
Qualifications
1. Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) designation.
2. Graduate of the McMaster PA Program or Consortium of PA Education, or equivalent.
3. Strong clinical skills across a variety of medical areas, including acute care and pediatrics.
4. Proficiency with electronic medical records systems, particularly PS Suites is highly desirable.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
6. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management.
