Job description We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior PMO to support our nuclear civil engineering projects. You will play a critical role in coordinating project governance, managing contract obligations, tracking financial performance, and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-impact environment while developing expertise in project management, contract administration, and financial oversight. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Your contributions will enhance project efficiency, quality, and financial control. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & Support: Assist in project scheduling, resource planning, and task coordination. Ensure project documentation, status reports, and deliverables are completed to a high standard and on time Governance & Compliance: Ensure projects follow established governance frameworks, including nuclear safety and industry regulations. Act as a governance advocate, promoting best practices across teams and projects Contract Management: Support the tracking of contract obligations and deliverables, ensuring compliance with contract terms. Assist project managers in resolving contract-related issues and ensuring contractor performance aligns with project goals Financial Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts in collaboration with the finance team. Prepare financial reports for leadership, ensuring transparency in project spending and adherence to financial controls Quality Assurance: Support quality management processes, ensuring deliverables meet required nuclear industry standards. Conduct quality assurance checks on project documents and outcomes Risk & Issue Management: Maintain and update the project risk and issue logs, ensuring risks are tracked, mitigated, and communicated effectively. Support project managers in developing risk mitigation plans and escalating critical issues Contractor & Supplier Coordination: Assist in managing relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring that all project participants meet contractual agreements and performance expectations Meeting Facilitation & Documentation: Organise and facilitate governance meetings and project forums. Ensure action items are documented, tracked, and communicated to relevant stakeholders Documentation & Archiving: Maintain project documentation according to required standards, including proper archiving of documents. Ensure project records are stored securely and are easily accessible Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving PMO processes related to project governance, financial management, and contract administration.
