Team Overview Regulatory Solutions is a growing team that delivers a combination of end to end operations, oversight, metrics and cross functional change management for many of the largest and most complex regulations impacting BlackRock and its clients. Our team is part of the Technology and Operations function at BlackRock that makes up around one third of the firm’s employees. This role, in the Trade and Transaction reporting Specialist team within Regulatory Solutions, focusses on end to end regulatory governance ensuring compliance and business readiness for our regulatory obligations. The role is multifaceted, requiring a high degree of specialised knowledge in trade and transaction regulations including EMIR, MIFIR, SFTR, FMIA CFTC & CSA. You will work closely with our compliance partners, be part of Industry working groups staying ahead of industry trends and changes, as well as develop risk management strategies within our existing regulatory control framework. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure operational compliance with Trade and transaction regulations. • Partner across the firm to design and drive the implementation of a Governance and Oversight framework for TTR Regulations. • Own the regulatory agenda including both discretionary and non discretionary change • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the requirements and purpose of the TTR Regulations. • Complete impact analysis on identified issues Skills : • High level of intellectual curiosity and able to think out of the box and “connect the dots” within BlackRock • Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting. • Outstanding academic and career achievement • Understanding of business operations and its intersection with regulatory obligations • Strong planning and organizational skills and a track record of driving transformational change within a business operations environment • Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to facilitate compromise between conflicting requirements or points of view • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly. • A passion for fast-paced, high-intensity, and complex environments, with the ability to troubleshoot time-critical issues.
