What we’re looking for:
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to use a range of communication styles to provide a personal approach.
• Able to quickly identify customers’ needs.
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Office to a high standard.
• Previous customer service experience advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.
• A genuine interest in the customer.
• Passionate about delivering great customer service. You will be the first point of contact with our customer.
• Organisational skills and the ability to multitask are essential.
You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by phone. Once fully trained, live chat, email, and social media. Full training will be given to enable you to acquire an in-depth knowledge of relevant services. You will need accurate keyboard skills, computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems and an understanding of confidentiality issues relating to customer information.
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 qualification in customer services or previous demonstrable experience working within a customer focused environment.
You will be required to work from a designated council office and from home.
Your induction and training will be in person at our Halifax Town Centre Office.
