About The Role
The Engineering Manager will take a lead role in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex, full-lifecycle projects from concept and development, through delivery and into long-term service and support. As a direct-entry Executive, you'll join a forward-thinking leadership team that values diversity of experience and thought to solve tomorrow's engineering challenges today.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead high-performing teams across a wide range of engineering domains, including:
o Bid Management
o Systems Architecting & Design
o Test & Evaluation
o Configuration & Requirements Management
o Product Qualification & Certification
* Drive the development of next-gen defence systems including electric and autonomous air vehicles, maintaining engineering excellence in a highly regulated environment.
* Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, programme delivery, HR, and more, fostering best practice, governance, and innovation.
* Shape and evolve engineering processes using modern approaches including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and cutting-edge tools.
* Oversee product maturity and ensure continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience leading engineering teams and complex system delivery in high-integrity environments.
* Strong background in systems engineering across full lifecycles.
* Exceptional leadership, people management, and communication skills.
Desirable
* STEM degree or Chartered Engineer status.
* Experience with engineering methods and standards in highly regulated industries.
* Familiarity with MBSE methodologies, tools, and digital engineering approaches.
