About the role
Our Food and Beverage department plays a key part in providing our passengers with a smooth and positive journey through our airport. Our Kitchen Porters play a pivotal part in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that our passengers are sent off on their travels satisfied. Here’s what you will be doing day to day:
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and all preparation areas.
* Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
* Storing dishes and utensils.
* Supporting the Chef with food and dessert preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
* Organising the stock room.
* Embodying the Airport's ‘One Team’ culture and undertaking other activities to support the needs of the business as required.
* Being scheduled to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To undertake this role, you will need the following skills:
* Experience working in a kitchen (advantageous).
* Knowledge of food safety.
