Department Summary: Med Surg 4 is a 32 Bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit. Our goal is to promote and restore patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. We provide care for a diverse patient population including GI, cardiovascular, and respiratory illnesses. We deliver care with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health in a supportive and culturally competent environment.
Job Purpose: The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. They will demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and directly reports to a designated nurse manager, clinical manager, or off shift manager.
Qualifications:
1. 2 years current Med/Surg RN experience preferred
2. Telemetry experience preferred
3. BSN preferred
4. Currently MA RN license
5. AHA Healthcare Provider BLS (AHA or ARC)
Sign-On Bonus: $10k Sign-On Bonus (prorated for part-time employees) for newly hired experienced RNs with 2 years of experience in the specialty hired for.
Retention Bonus: Newly hired experienced RNs interested in committing to a minimum of two years of employment at Cambridge Health Alliance, may be eligible to receive a retention bonus of $10,000.
