Job Position:Account Manager Department: Sales Reports to: Head of Sales Hours: 40 hours per week Scope of Role Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Dunnes, Morrisons, Aldi & Lidl throughout the UK & Ireland. As an Account Manager you will be responsible for delivering targeted sales and implementing a sales strategy that will grow sales, increase market share and ultimately increase the companys profitability. You will be expected to target all of the main food retailers, (except M&S which is under separate account management) with the objective of securing new business and where current relationships and business exists, build upon this by looking for further opportunities. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the management of existing accounts including Morrisons, Aldi UK, Lidl UK & Ireland and Ocado. Deliver and implement the companys sales strategy in line with business plans for growth. Responsibility for selling a range of fresh and chilled products to customers throughout Ireland and the UK. Present to corporate buyers in leading retail businesses. Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders across a variety of customer sectors. Develop strong commercial and cross functional relationships with key stakeholders. Visit both new and existing customers on a regular basis to ensure that all potential sales revenue is maximized. Work closely with the sales team to ensure that all leads are followed up within a designated time period. Work closely with the Avondale NPD team to present new and existing products to new and existing customers, including pricing and trading terms. Present quotes/tenders to customers, to include promotional sales techniques such as LTAs, case discounts and over-riders which are aligned with the companies strategy for profitability. Maintain after sales contact to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Identify and develop sales strategies and communicate and report to the Head of Sales and Company Directors. Monitor competitors & devise effective strategies including sales analysis, customer research, current market conditions and competitor information. Attend customer and industry functions to network and maintain the profile of Avondale Foods. Work with the Head of Sales to build a long-term growth strategy and contribute to the annual budget planning process.
