This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in supporting students through their exams and is looking for flexible hours on a casual basis. Whilst there will be a number of opportunities throughout the year, you must be available to work flexible hours throughout the key months of May and June each year.
This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, the successful applicants will be responsible for the setting out and collecting of exam scripts and materials, admitting students to the exam hall/room, invigilating during the exams, and collating the exam papers to be sent off to the Exam boards. Duties may include reading and scribing for students during exams. Full training will be provided should you be offered a role with us.
We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence.
As an 11–19 secondary school serving nearly 1,300 students in central Gateshead, we have a clear vision for excellence in character education, the examined curriculum and in service to our community, grounded in our strong Christian ethos. We have a clear model for school improvement to provide an outstanding education for all students and are relentless in the pursuit of this goal. You will be central to delivering our strategy as you transform both the school and our students’ futures.
Join us and you can expect to be nurtured, supported, and encouraged at every step of your career through the Emmanuel College Teaching School. We are committed to investing in you and your career development, with the possibility of working closely with colleagues at Emmanuel College, one-to-one coaching, and future opportunities to undertake educational research.
