A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Headteacher to join Knowleswood Primary School. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher to formulate the aims and objectives of the school and provide strategic leadership, establish policies and manage staff and resources. In addition, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the school’s accelerated improvement journey by driving high standards of teaching, learning, and leadership.
Knowleswood Primary School is part of Exceed Academies Trust, which currently consists of fourteen academies; ten primary schools, an all-through primary-to-secondary academy, two alternative provision academies (Primary and Secondary), and a specialist setting for children/young people who suffer from social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The Trust has an excellent reputation within Bradford and beyond, and an outstanding track record of supporting staff in developing their careers through specialist training lead by the Exceed Teaching School Hub and our Outstanding SCITT.
The successful candidate will:
1. Support strategic, curriculum-led financial planning to ensure effective use of budgets and resources.
2. Have a strong commitment to ensuring excellent pupil progress.
3. Be dedicated to sharing responsibilities for raising standards.
4. Have knowledge and clear understanding of the statutory framework for education as well as new and innovative developments within education.
5. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
6. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
7. Assist in the school’s accelerated improvement journey.
