This position involves assisting Radiographers and Radiologists during various examinations such as Radiographic, Mammographic, MRI, CT, Radionuclide, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopic procedures. The role includes providing direct specialist clinical support, maintaining specialist equipment, and ensuring a high-quality imaging environment for patients.
The successful candidate must have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and approved before starting employment.
Due to legislative changes effective from 1 April 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check. If classified as a "regulated role," the appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Further details can be found at: Disclosure Scotland Changes.
This is a Trainee post, and Annex 21 applies. Pay during training varies based on the duration:
* Up to 12 months before completion: 75% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
* More than 1 year but less than 2 years: 70% of the pay band maximum.
* More than 2 years but less than 3 years: 65% of the pay band maximum.
* More than 3 years after training completion: 60% of the pay band maximum.
