We currently have an exciting opportunity for a CAPEX Buyer based at ourHead Office, Cowick Hall in East Yorkshire. In this role, you will be part of asmall team with the responsibility to develop and implement procurementstrategies for a portfolio of CAPEX Goods and Services, with a focus ondelivering most cost effective, high quality and sustainable solutions.
Responsible for the commercial negotiation of CAPEX contracts including;supplier sourcing, facilitation of bids, negotiation of price, negotiation of termsand conditions to minimise Croda’s risk exposure, contract execution, riskmitigation and supplier performance management.
You will be workingalongside a wider global procurement function to share best practice andmaximise synergies across the group. You will work closely with Engineering, Procurementand Maintenance teams to ensure delivery of optimum commercial outcomes withoutdetriment to technical and SHEQ requirements.

Essentials:
10. Previous experience of CAPEX procurement activities
11. Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of delivering results
12. Excellent planning and organisation skills
13. An excellent communicator, capable of building effective internal and external working relationships
14. Experience of strategic and tactical sourcing
15. Knowledge & experience of contract management
16. Understanding of market trends and industry norms
17. Ability tocommunicate with, relate to and influence a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
18. Understanding of key contract clauses and ability to negotiate to minimise business risk exposure.
Desirables:
19. SAP user experience
20. CIPS Qualifications
21. Educated to degree level
22. Experience in risk management
23. Proven track record of contract management and supplier relationship management
24. Experience working withinchemical industry
