Position Overview:
RWDI has a permanent full-time employment opportunity for an Air Quality Engineer in the Air Quality team based in London .
This technical role includes but is not limited to:
4. Good practical, verbal/written communication, IT, numerical proficiency, and excellent problem solving skills;
5. Experience in dispersion modelling (ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6).
6. Experience with GIS (QGIS).
7. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
8. Planning and completing technical aspects of assigned projects, including data collection, analysis, and ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.
9. Understanding of LAQM, UK planning and legislation.
10. Conducting engineering and scientific estimation calculations for emission rates
11. Working to strict schedules and project milestones while maintaining product quality.
12. Writing technical reports that present methodology, results and recommendations.
13. Performing site visits and participating in client meetings.
14. Complying with all applicable health and safety procedures and guidelines.
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications :
15. Bachelor’s degree in related engineering/science disciplines, with advanced degrees.
16. Ideally working towards full membership of the IES and the IAQM.
Candidates should also possess :
17. Ability to work on several projects at once and successfully meet deadlines.
18. Strong people and team skills.
19. Work independently and in collaboration with other colleagues on multi-disciplinary projects.
20. Drive to continuously improve processes and enhance efficiency.
21. Exceptional organizational capabilities and a methodical approach.
22. Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, air quality surveys and other project requirements.
23. a full, clean UK driving licence.
Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset :
24. AERMOD and CALPUFF dispersion modelling.
25. Basic understanding of programming, for example R, Python, Linux .
