This is a public sector based role in Derbyshire.
Job Description
You will play a key role in managing and optimizing our diverse property portfolio, providing expert advice and handling a wide range of estates management responsibilities. The position offers a blend of office-based and remote working, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong connections with colleagues and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a varied portfolio of council properties, including commercial, residential, and community assets
* Handling lease negotiations, rent reviews, and lease renewals
* Providing strategic advice on property matters to internal departments
* Conducting property inspections and preparing detailed reports
* Managing relationships with tenants and external stakeholders
* Contributing to the council's property strategy and asset optimization initiatives
The Successful Applicant
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* MRICS qualified with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
* Proven track record in estates management and landlord & tenant matters
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Experience in property valuation and asset management
* Excellent communication and report writing abilities
* Valid driving license and ability to travel throughout the region
