An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of design during the pre-construction phase, then the management of installation and testing during the construction phase.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a multi-disciplined Mechanical Engineering Team.
* To support the project manager(s) with the definition of programmes and budgets
* Support the Project Manager in management of Consultant and Contractors.
* Work closely with the Engineering and BIM design team.
* To support the project manager(s) with monitoring and reporting of project performance and change management
* To support the Project Managers with budget / estimate, schedule, scope(s) of work, specifications, O&M documentation.
* To Support the project optioneering process.
Requirements:
* Qualification to degree level or HNC/HND with relevant experience in a Mechanical Engineering discipline. Ideally Piping and /or process
* Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status (IMechE) or working towards
* Pressure Directive (PED) awareness / conformance
* Formal H&S qualification E.g. IOSH managing safely and/or SMSTS or CCNSG
* 5+ years recent experience in an equivalent role
* Project Engineering of Mechanical work packages, including office based pre-construction activities, site implementation/ integration, within an industrial highly regulated environment.
* Working fully autonomously and/or as part of a team
* Compliance with legislation and standards in a highly regulated industry.
* Production of technical documentation e.g. technical reports, plant specifications, technical submissions
