The role
Eric Wright Water Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our successful Water team based in the North West This is an essential role to our business as applicants will have wide experience in carrying out routine maintenance, removal and installation, fault finding and repairs to mechanical plant and equipment within the water utilities industry.
Responsibilities include
1. Undertake routine maintenance of mechanical equipment in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule
2. Carry out fault finding to detect and repair any mechanical faults on equipment or instrumentation
3. Remove and/or install mechanical equipment
4. Provide out of hours emergency cover 24/7 on a rotational basis
5. Advise and/or assist other Operatives / personnel where necessary
6. Carry out all work within the agreed budgetary and time limits
7. Complete all necessary work records, documentation and reports
8. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules and health and safety legislation
9. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant quality and environmental standards
The candidate
We are looking for a candidate who has the appropriate qualifications of City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering a Water Hygiene certificate and
C&G Confined Space certificate. Must have expereince of pumping systems and be able to work as part of a mobile team and must be prepared to provide out of hours work when required.
