An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed RMN to work in an exceptional hospital based in Ayr, South Ayrshire. This hospital provides acute adult mental health services within a low Secure Service for patients with personality disorders.
As a Nurse, you will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. The RMN will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary team, external agencies and organisations, patients, and relatives. The RMN should also have a good working knowledge of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. Experience in a related environment is essential.
During probation, there is the requirement to work day shifts until training and competencies are completed and signed off. This could be a period of 3 to 6 months.
As a Nurse, your key duties include:
* Provide a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder.
* Develop therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement.
* Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress.
* At a more senior level, you’ll also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team.
* Follow all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice.
