Role Overview:
As a Bioinformatician, you'll work at the intersection of biology, data science, and drug discovery. You’ll analyze large-scale genomic, clinical, and molecular datasets to extract meaningful insights that fuel innovation in biomedical research. Collaborating closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and scientific experts, your work will have a direct impact on the development of new therapies and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and interpret genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and clinical data to support drug discovery projects.
* Develop and optimize bioinformatics tools and pipelines for high-throughput data analysis.
* Collaborate with machine learning engineers and biologists to design data-driven experiments and interpret results.
* Use bioinformatics software and databases to uncover insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
* Apply statistical models and computational methods to identify biomarkers, drug targets, and other key biological insights.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest bioinformatics techniques, software, and trends in drug discovery.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
* Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Perl for data analysis.
* Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Bioconductor, Ensembl).
* Solid understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other omics data.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and high-performance computing.
* Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, or data visualization tools (e.g., R, MATLAB, Jupyter).
* Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
* Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and pipelines.
* Knowledge of molecular biology, cheminformatics, or systems biology.
* Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory considerations in healthcare AI.
