Base pay range
Food Safety and the safety of our teams and customers is of paramount importance to the group. We aim to operate with an unblemished safety record and to do so require all of our team members to operate within a considered and robust safety framework. This role is responsible not only for the monitoring & maintenance of these frameworks but also their successful implementation across both Retail (Kiosks) & Restaurant. Suitable candidate would be someone who is passionate about Safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safeguard the reputation of all operating brands by conducting thorough checks, audits, and providing coaching, feedback, and follow-ups on Food Safety and Health & Safety protocols.
2. Oversee the safety of approximately 120 sites, ensuring the well-being of customers and team members through the implementation, monitoring, verification, and maintenance of controls and standard operating procedures.
3. Demonstrate exceptional planning, coaching, analytical, implementation, training, and communication skills (both written and verbal) to maintain high safety standards.
4. Lead and execute key safety projects that drive continuous improvement and ensure consistent adherence to safety practices.
5. Ensure Safety KPIs (including audit number & results, corrective actions, due diligence scores, FHRS rating) for the sites in the region are met.
6. Facilitate new site openings by ensuring all tools, notices, controls, and processes are in place for safe and seamless launches.
7. Conduct audits and surveillance testing for new and existing suppliers to ensure compliance and quality.
8. Plan, conduct, and publish internal audits, analyze data, and report trends to identify areas for improvement and drive better results.
9. Deliver timely and precise reports to line management to aid in planning and managing the internal audit program.
10. Develop and review the audit framework, questionnaires, and due diligence processes to maintain their relevance and accuracy.
11. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Food Safety policies, aligning with landlord requirements and regularly updating and communicating these policies.
12. Follow up on processes to prevent incidents, investigate safety complaints (e.g., allergy, foreign body, food poisoning), and document, resolve and implement recommended improvements.
13. Document, investigate, and analyze the root causes of accidents, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
