Are you an experienced XYZ Turner with a background in precision engineering? We are looking for a skilled professional to join a growing precision component manufacturer in their machining department, setting and operating an XYZ Lathe.
Your role will involve machining components from a variety of raw materials to meet the exacting standards of engineering drawings.
As a XYZ Turner, you will ensure the quality and timely manufacture of precision components, contributing to our commitment to excellence.
Your responsibilities as a XYZ Turner:
* Set and operate an XYZ Lathe to machine components from various raw materials, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings.
* Follow the company's Quality Management and Health and Safety procedures to maintain high standards of production.
* Ensure the quality and timely manufacture of precision components, meeting specified quality standards and tolerances.
* Use all relevant measurement equipment to verify the accuracy and quality of machined components.
* Work collaboratively within the manufacturing department to optimise machining processes.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Your current experience which will help you as a XYZ Turner:
* Completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, with experience on an XYZ or Manual Lathe.
* Proven experience within a precision engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Proficient in using measurement equipment to ensure component accuracy and quality.
* Familiarity with working within specified quality standards and tolerances.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
What you can expect as a XYZ Turner:
* £14.50 - £16 per hour, dependent on experience. (40 hour week)
* 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
