Job DescriptionThe Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery of the corporate procurement service, which includes governance, accountability, support, and project administration of certain elements of the tendering and contracting processes. This includes completing contract assessments, and quick quote reviews.RequirementsProvide advice and support for the development of the Council’s Procurement Policy, annual report, strategy, procedures and guidance library ensuring alignment with regulations.\nEnsure that all procedures and related processes are developed to deliver efficient processes and appropriately documented.\nAssist and support the work of the procurement branch and finance service area in the delivery of the Council’s procurement services. This includes liaising with, advising and assisting procurement officers/departmental officers in the delivery of procurement activities, and handling enquiries\nManage the contract register, conduct research and deliver reports, providing management data information for procurement reporting purposes, strategy, FOIs and other requirements.The IndividualMinimum 3 years work experience within a corporate, finance, or business-related service\nAppropriate HND, degree in procurement or supply, or in a relevant-related business discipline\nMicrosoft Office suite Research\n \nDeveloping and writing procedures\nAbility to work as part of a collaborative team\nExcellent inter-personal and communication skills\nAnalytical and research skills\nAbility to work under pressure to tight deadlines\nFlexibility to meet the needs and demands of the service\nAbility to work in different offices dependant on service requirements\n \nClosing Date: 14 March 2025\nStarting Salary: £33,439.90\nHours per week: 21.75\nProposed Interview Date: TBC\nFor further information, please contact Emily MacLeod 07517 611580
