About the School:
Evenlode Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry school for children from Nursery to Year Six. Our Nursery children are based in their own setting on Bute Lane in Penarth, while the children from Reception to Year Six are on our main site at Evenlode Avenue. Our school community is further supported by our Saplings Out of School Provision, which offers wrap-around care for children on the Evenlode Avenue site. At Evenlode, we pride ourselves on being a special place where everyone feels they truly belong. As an anti-racist and inclusive community, we celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and welcome all into our school family. Our motto, 'Belonging, Believe, Achieve', reflects our deep commitment to the wellbeing and personal development of every child. Our school values of respect, compassion, positivity, and kindness are woven into the fabric of daily life.
We are privileged to have a dedicated and highly skilled team of staff and Governors who are passionate about providing the best possible learning experiences for our children. This is evident in the vibrant, joyful, and purposeful learning environment we have created, both indoors and outdoors. Our innovative 'Hook and Book' curriculum, designed in line with the Curriculum for Wales, ensures that children make strong progress and develop crucial skills such as curiosity, resilience, and the ability to think outside the box.
