Mechatronic Engineer Job Type- Full time, Permanent Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am 1pm Hours / days may vary when on site installation. Salary:£35k to £50k. Overview Due to an ever-growing order book, and continual research and development projects, we wish toadd an additional Mechanical Engineer to our team. The successful candidate will be part of the Implementation Team, who are responsible for manufacturing our Mushroom harvesting equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for any on-site, or remote, troubleshooting and maintenance. The role also includesworking with the Design Team on R&D projects to further our current product range, bringing new products to market. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally, as required, depending on the project and customer site location. Job Description Mechanical and electrical / electronic troubleshooting and problem solving Assistance during the commissioning of systems on customer sites Post implementation customer support and troubleshooting. Assist with manufacturing of our harvesting systems Assist with building of control panels and wiring of machines as required Utilising Schneider control systems and PLCs Ensure effective communication is maintained with clients, suppliers and the team Participate in R&D projects Liaise with the Design Team in R&D to refine and improve our product range Maintain technical specifications Read detailed electrical and engineering drawings Demonstrate engineering expertise, and ability to improve products or services by applying professional knowledge Essential Skills and requirements Ability to read detailed electrical and engineering drawings Ability to complete mechanical and electronic / electrical troubleshooting and problem solving Ability to build, commission and advance development of our current product range Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion Demonstrable engineering expertise Precision engineering experience Willingness to travel Complete on-site installations and commissioning of systems An awareness of general Health and Safety rules Overtime as required to meet project deadlines Work on own initiative and as part of a team Desirable skills and requirements Previous experience programming Schneider PLCs Welding and Fabrication experience (stainless, TIG, MIG, Manual Arc etc) Use of 3D and 2D software including Solidworks and Autocad Qualifications and Experience: BSc in Mechatronics engineering or similar Minimum of 5 years post qualification engineering experience
