The Role:
As a Senior Pension Consultant you will be primarily responsible for analyzing core operational processes that have been designed based on feedback from workshops with the incumbent and supporting client / incumbent supplied materials (including Business Process Documents). You will review all specification documents, User Acceptance test results to provide feedback and make recommendations to the relevant project delivery teams to consume in order to ensure that the transformed processes in the new operating platform are relevant and fully aligned to the contractual service requirements specified by the Client.
Key responsibilities:
Analyse the functional or business inputs on the Teachers’ Pension Scheme processes from DfE and the incumbent to contribute to workshops, review business process specifications and build operations manuals and training materials using the relevant tools.
Understand relevant Teachers’ Pension benefit structure/s to support the programme team with calculation clarifications as well as inputs.
Understand Scheme outputs and Reporting requirements, Process Diagrams and Pensions data in varying formats.
Support the Transformation Programme by working closely with IT Development teams and other Stakeholders to complete the gap analysis using Agile methodologies.
Estimate the effort for the gaps in the solution and drawing up a pragmatic schedule to deliver them in line with transformation plan.
Review the Functional and Non-Functional test scenarios, test evidence, results and outputs to assure the programme governance team to target a smooth go live or identify exceptions for resolution.
Adapt all existing and emerging best practices, tools and processes within the programme and organization.
Delivery of training and managing the implementation of change and new ways of working.
Your Profile
Key skills:
Detailed understanding of key business processes throughout lifecycle of members and employers in a UK DB pension schemes.
Proven experience of participating in and delivering Public Sector Pensions Projects involving large client/s.
Experience in implementing automated and digital solutions in pensions environment.
Experience of delivering business process and system changes to meet regulatory updates and rule changes.
Working with Business Analysts to implement service improvements.
Experience of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and TPR regulations.
